How to repurpose content and use a single blog many times
How do you make the most of a blog?
You have invested time and money in creating a blog. You want it to be seen by as many people as possible! How do you achieve this?
Many people believe that you put the blog on the website, share it once and hope for the best! It doesn’t have to be this way! There is a lot you can do to increase traction for your blog.
Here’s the system that I use to maximise my blog exposure
Firstly, I post the content on my website blog page. This usually has a call to action to sign up to receive more blogs. Sometimes I have something more specific such as a product page or a call to contact or buy.
I then e-mail the entire blog to people on my e-mail newsletter list. As they are already signed up to receive content, the call to action is different and based on them taking action to work with me.
Next I post teasers on social media that are designed to drive as many people as possible to my website. I may tag people or use hashtags to increase the reach of the social media post.
Sometimes my content is also shared in industry publications. Many like to feature my content on a non-exclusive basis. (I also write specific content for some publications.)
Finally, remember that it is OK to repeat your content. I have been writing content for many years now. So I am happy to re-share relevant pieces that I have posted in the past.
Following this system ensures that you will increase the number of readers
Many people spend a lot of time creating but not enough time sharing. Remember to make sure that everyone benefits from your content!
