I’m beginning to look to the future: are you?

I hope you are safe and well

More importantly than anything else, I hope you and your families and loved ones are keeping as safe as possible. The current situation affects us all. My wife and I now know several people who have the Coronavirus, even though we live in an area that supposedly has a low number of cases. I know there is at least one reader of my newsletter who has had the virus and is now, thankfully, recovering.

We have all been through tough times in the past few weeks

There will be very few of us whose businesses have not been affected in some way by Coronavirus. We have all had to react and restructure our businesses. And many of you may have had to lay off staff, deal with a hugely reduced amount of business. It is a worrying time.

But the tone of conversations has changed

Here in the UK at least I’m talking to more and more people who have gone through a process of shock at how this pandemic has hit everyone. But now they have done all they can to restructure their businesses for the present. Instead they are now beginning to plan for the future.

Some of this revolves around considering what business might look like in the “new normal”. Some of it is based on how costs can be restructured. But people I’m talking to are also considering how they are going to sell when restrictions are eased.

We all need to look to the future

I realise that in the UK we may be slightly ahead of the process compared to some other countries. However, this time will come for everyone. We need to think about what we will be doing when restrictions start to be lifted.

It may be that some of your current clients’ businesses will not survive the pandemic. Or they may be trading at much reduced levels. Nonetheless there will also be new opportunities. And we need to be prepared to make the most of them.

Here’s what I am doing in the future

I want to be able to give personal help to more printing companies at a more affordable cost. So I’m launching a new Successful Print Sales Circle where, amongst other things, you’ll be able to jump on a live call with me or ask me questions remotely. And I’m launching it with specific help to get going again after Coronavirus.

I’ll also be launching “Done For You Sales Scripts” soon. And I’ll be adding a script on how to have a conversation with customers after the virus.

I’m also going to be launching services where you can have your social media managed for you as well as adwords, SEO and website design and development.

I’m trying to make all of these as affordable as possible, given the current circumstances.

I’d love to hear from you right now

I’d really like to hear about how you are doing. What actions have you had to take? What are your worries right now? And if any of my launches interest you I’d like to hear that too! Please leave a comment below.

Best wishes

Matthew
